Xiaomi continues to tease its Mi Max phablet in the days leading up to its debut, this time highlighting the thinness of the gigantic Android phone.
Xiaomi CEO has taken to Chinese social network Weibo to show a promo image that highlights the Mi Max’s thinness. However, there’s no exact size given, so we’ll have to wait until its debut on May 10 to find out how thick or thin it really is.
In addition to this teaser, new images that claim to show the Mi Max have leaked out. They’re allegedly from the Chinese regulators at TENAA, and they purportedly show the front and rear of the Mi Max. We can see some capacitive navigation buttons on the device’s face, and around back is a fingerprint reader and camera with dual flash.
In these leaked images, we can see that the Mi Max has different panels at the top and bottom of its backside that are separated from the main back cover. Looking closely at the side view of the Mi Max posted by Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun, it looks like the that device has panels at the top and bottom of its rear, too.
The Xiaomi Mi Max is rumored to feature a gigantic 6.4-inch display, which would be larger than most other smartphones on the market. Despite its large size, Xiaomi has teased that the Mi Max will fit into a jeans pocket. The Mi Max is expected to debut on May 10, so it won’t be long before we find out if we actually can cram this gigantic phone into a pocket.
