man look It is hard to find the wifi control but also very easy to find you know that little arrow on the left on the homepage click that and then scroll down and look for an app in blue and white it says wifi on it. Boom there ya go. As for the cube interface I agree crappy but you don't have to use it... just don't click the cube. It only lags at first when you boot it up for the first time then its smooth sailing. I don't own this phone YET but is coming in the mail fully free but I tested it at a tmobile kiosk and it seemed fine to me actually fucking awesome. I don't think you truly gave this phone a fair chance. I agree samsung fucking sucks at making phones generally but this so far is their best phone yet. Where else are you going to find a better phone screen than samsung with their AMOLED screen?

I got the Behold II the first day it came out. First I got the Cliq but returned it after the battery died three times within the first day. It doesn't feel like your holding a toy (Mytouch 3G) when you pick it up. The build quality is solid and the phone is very balanced.

The Behold II blew me away. The screen is fantastic, call quality is great, 5 Megapixel camera with video capture, and the list goes on and on. Without a doubt, the phone has some software bugs, but so did the G1 and almost every other great phone that ever came out. It has a 3.5 mm headphone jack, 3G, and probably the best virtual keyboard I've ever used (and I type really fast). The battery life on this phone is probably the best I've seen on an Android device. Even with heavy use (data, text, and multimedia) I am able to get a solid day of use, sometimes even more.

I use every feature of the phone, whether it's the build in features like the camera or mp3 player, or apps from the app market like Amazon MP3 or barcode scanner, and everything runs smooth and fast for me. It is true that the phone can lag sometimes between switching apps or home screens, but I didn't notice that much of a lag. Mainly when the phone turns on or the battery is charging. I Don't know what other people are saying about the internet being slow and annoying, but I haven't had any problems with it at all. Every single page I went on rendered just like it would on a desktop and they all loaded fast over both 3G and Wifi.

For me, it is probably one of the fastest (in terms of internet) phones from T-Mobile. It also catches T-Mobile's 3G in a lot of places that other 3G phones can't. It is a great phone for whatever you decide to do; whether it is messaging, web browsing, or multimedia. Just because the phone has a few software bugs doesn't necessarily make it a bad device. The Touch Wiz UI over the Android actually blended together very well to make a unique Android-Samsung mix-up.

Just give the phone some time for the developers to work out some of the bugs and I'm sure this is going to be one the best Androids on the market.

Lots of software bugs. What bad mesh of touchwiz and andriod. Lots of missing features that are available on normal andriod devices. When using a regular headset without a mic, the phone still thinks the headset has mic, so it does not activate the internal mic. So if you bought some really expensive headset, it won't work!! Speaker phone is bad, the mic does not work well. Battery life is also bad, I'm charging mine every day, with normal use. Camera sucks, that is , once you start to use the zoom, it's blurry, so zoom is pointless!! Oh and the big one, tmobile tech support is not trained on the phone, samsung customer service, also doesn't know much, so you are on your own. If they quickly fix these bugs, the phone will be a good unit. But till then....DON'T BUY IT YET!! WAIT FOR BUG FIXES!!

Yet another pretender to the next-gen mantle for T-Mobile users. I had this phone for exactly 4 hours before I realized it wasn't nearly worth the 449.00 price (if you have a month to month Even More Plus plan). Where shall I begin?

Firstly, it's not true Android. It's Android with Samsung's TouchWiz interface layered over it, and it ruins the experience. It's clucky, sluggish, and doesn't allow for half the customization options my G1 has, even before I rooted it. My biggest gripe: you can't shut off the notification on the stock messaging app. That means if you use Handcent or Chomp (and you should, the stock app is horrendous), you will ALWAYS get two notification tones, two icons, and two copies of the same notification when you pull down the notification drawer. This may seem minor to some, but Android is about customization, and when you can't change that, and can't get rid of the redundant TouchWiz navigation icons on the bottom of the display, it shows that Samsung is limiting what you can do.

The music player didn't recognize any artists or albums on music I drag and dropped to the sdcard, and even worse, it includes the track number before each song. Ace of Spades by Motorhead becomes 06 Ace of Spades by . So to browse through music alphabetically, you go through all your "01" tracks first, then "02" etc.... Maddening. On my G1, track, artist and album were all recognized instantly, and the track numbers are omitted.

I won't even discuss the uselessness of the 3DCube interface for multimedia apps.

Merely scrolling through the three home screens was a choppy, sluggish affair, and the Samsung enhanced app drawer was clumsy as well.

You can't use a wallpaper app like Backgrounds to change the wallpaper on all three home screens, only the primary one. That means (for now) you're limited to the stock wallpapers or photos as wallpaper on the remaining two home screens (each home screen gets it's own wallpaper).

The Settings menu has been tampered with, and it's not nearly as intuitive as the G1. In my 30 or so hours with the phone, I was unable to find the option to use the network (with less accuracy) or wifi (better accuracy, but limited to whatever hotspot you're linked to) as my location option for maps and location base apps. It appears to me it's GPS or nothing at all.

Also, regarding the Android Market, I have about 60 apps on my rooted G1. When I went to download the important ones (limited to apps being stored on the internal memory instead of the sdcard, c'mon Google, FIX THAT) the phone would not find apps I'd paid for, such as Twidroid Pro, and a few others who's names escape me at the moment. I would search TWIDROID, and only get the lite, free app listed. When I spoke with a pretty knowledgable employee at my local T-Mobile store, he said he had the same problem. Apparently the Samsung phone is not reading all available apps in the Market.

Also I read that download speeds on this phone are limited to 3.6Mps, which would make this useless if/when T-Mobile raises their 3G speeds, as specualtion indicates they will.

Would HTC PLEASE release the Passion / Dragon for T-Mobile? I love my G1, but would love to have a Droid like phone availble for us. THe Cliq and the Behold II aren't cutting it.
